Why Honesty Is Crucial:

Since January 1, 2024, every container at the Port of Asunción is scanned and inspected. If undeclared new goods are found, the entire container faces a Flat-rate penalty duties beginning from 5000$. Or in the worst Case Scenario a Full unpacking & inspection – Each package opened, new goods weighed, and fined at $5 per kg. – In this scenario are Damaged items, delays, and major complications standard.  – Avoidable with honest declarations from our customers.

Guidelines

• Each package is billed with a minimum of 0.1 m³.
  

• Larger packages or goods then 0,1 m³ are precisely measured and billed accordingly.
  

• If you’re using more than 12 small moving boxes or banana crates of the same size, we’ll adjust our calculations accordingly. Please notify us in advance so we can account for this during goods receipt.

Common logistics moving boxes have an outer volume of 0.1 cubic meters, with an internal capacity of 84 liters.

Guidelines

• For packages weighing less than 1 kg, no customs duties apply.

• The weight is calculated to the nearest 0.1 kg.

Calculation Example 1: Small Package to Hohenau (New Goods)

Specifications:

• Regional depot: Hohenau (250 €/m³)

• Volume: 0.023 m³ (minimum billing volume: 0.1 m³)

• Weight: 0.7 kg (completely new goods)

• Goods category: New merchandise

Cost Calculation:

1. Volume-based pricing (Hohenau):
   Minimum volume applies:
   0.1 m³ × 250 €/m³ = 25 €

2. Customs charges:
   Weight below 1 kg → No customs fees (0 €)

Total cost: 25 € (transport) + 0 € (customs) = 25 €

Calculation Example 2: Two Moving Boxes to Campo 9 (20 kg per box)

Specifications:

• Regional depot: Campo 9 (240 €/m³)

• Quantity: 2 boxes

• Volume per box: 0.07 m³ (minimum billing volume: 0.1 m³)

• Total volume: 2 × 0.1 m³ = 0.2 m³

• Weight per box: 20 kg (including 3 kg new goods, 17 kg used goods)

• Total weight: 2 × 20 kg = 40 kg (corrected from original 44 kg)

Cost Calculation:

1. Volume-based pricing (Campo 9):
   0.2 m³ × 240 €/m³ = 48 €

2. Customs charges:

   • New goods (6 kg total): 6 kg × 1.95 €/kg = 11.70 €

   • Used goods (34 kg total): 34 kg × 0.75 €/kg = 25.50 €

   • Total customs: 11.70 € + 25.50 € = 37.20 € (corrected from original 45 €)

Total cost: 48 € (transport) + 37.20 € (customs) = 85.20 €

Calculation Example 3: Used Fireplace Stove (0.6 m³, 80 kg)

Cost Calculation for Transport to Loma Plata:

1. Volume-based Charges:
   0.6 m³ × 200 €/m³ = 120 €

2. Customs Fees (Used Goods):
   80 kg × 0.75 €/kg = 60 €

Total Cost: 120 € (Transport) + 60 € (Customs) = 180 €

• Prepare Packages
  Carefully pack your goods and create a detailed packing list to ensure a smooth process.

• Complete the Online Form
  Fill out the provided online form with all relevant information about your shipments.

• Send Packages or Arrange Pickup
  Send or transport your packages to our partner in Germany, or contact Claudia to arrange for a freight forwarder to collect your goods.

• Join the WhatsApp Community
  Stay informed about the status of your shipments and other updates by joining our WhatsApp community group.

• Invoicing
  Invoices will be issued upon container departure and sent to you via email. Please transfer the full amount within two weeks.

• Delivery or Pickup of Goods
  Collect your packages at your chosen distribution center with your ID card/passport. If you selected domestic shipping with Occidental-Express, your goods will be forwarded promptly, and you will receive updates in our community group. Alternatively, for larger quantities, we can arrange transport to your location upon request, with cost coverage.
